Special, Custom & or Special Priced Orders
Ocassionally we offer special orders for items NOT one of a kind or custom adjustments on existing inventory. These items are NOT eligible for layaway and special orders must be prepaid in advance. If an adjustment needs to be made on an item put on layaway it will be completed once the item is paid in full. Special orders and jewelry that has been customized upon customer request is NOT eligible for returns, credits or refunds. If you are granted special discounted pricing for multiple items and ask for a refund on one of those items the other items in the order will be charged at FULL PRICE for the return request to be completed. NO EXCEPTIONS please.
Schaef Designs is proud to offer layaway plans. It's really easy! To place your selections on layaway contact Bobby at (505)771-2294 with your order.
Your preferred credit card information will be taken so automatic monthly layaway payments can be charged to your account on preset dates for payment amounts per the terms of the layaway agreement. You can even include Sale Items in your layaway plan.
For in stock items totaling $500 or more the layaway payments may be made in 3 equal payments in one month intervals for total charges including price, tax, shipping and handling charges. When all payments are made your purchases will be shipped to you within 2 business days.
For items totaling less than $500 layaway payments can be made over a period of 2 months in 2 equal payments for total charges including price, tax, shipping and handling charges. When all payments are made your purchases will be shipped to you within 2 business days.
If for some reason you do not complete your layaway transaction you will be charged a 20% restocking fee of the TOTAL order less shipping and handling charges. A store credit will be issued for the balance paid less 20% of the layaway total price for restocking.
If you wish to pay off your layaway early NO PROBLEM. Just let us know and we'll charge your remaining balance and ship your purchases.
Schaef Designs makes every effort to describe each item as accurately as possible. We depend on many sources for our information and it is rarely inaccurate. Sometimes there are mistakes due to typos, lack of information, or incomplete information from vendors passed along for our descriptions. Please let us know if you think you have found a discrepancy BEFORE you purchase the item so that we may try to find answers for you. We're always happy to work with you. Slight inaccuracies & typos in descriptions will NOT constitute an automatic refund.

We guarantee your original Schaef Designs jewelry. We will restring your jewelry for free if there is problem due to a defect in construction of that item. When you follow the care instructions given to you, your jewelry should look great for as long as you own it. If something should happen to your jewelry that affects its beauty or wearability, bring or send it to us and we will provide you with an estimate to fix it. If a wire should break, please attempt to find all of the pieces and bring or send it to us and we will restring it for you at no charge. If pieces are missing, we'll replace them for a minimal charge.

Shipping: All of our pieces are hand-made, this means that orders can take up to 10 days to ship (most are shipped within 24 hours). If we can't ship your item within 4 days we will notify you via e-mail with an estimated delivery. If your order is time sensitive please call our studio at (505) 771-2294 to expedite your order.
International Shipping: Customs fees and all other international charges are the responsibility of the customer. NO EXCEPTIONS
Return/Exchange Policy: We will gladly accept returns or exchanges for items (unless otherwise noted) within
3 days from the time you receive your purchase. Items MUST be returned in the NEW UNWORN condition in which they were received for a refund or exchange. If you have received special pricing for your order for any reason a store credit will be given for your purchase if you wish to return it.
RETURN SHIPPING is expected to be the same as it was sent to you...ie. Priority Mail insured, return priority mail insured. Packing is important! If the item(s) incur damage on return NO REFUND OR CREDIT will be issued.
If you want the item(s) back in this instance then you will be required to pay full shipping & insurance costs prior to shipping plus a $20.00 handling fee.
Refunds will be issued via credit on your credit card or through Paypal once item is received less shipping charges.
EXCHANGE: A full price store credit (less all shipping fees charges both ways) will be given. LAYAWAY purchase are eligible for store credit or exchange only (within 3 days after receiving order).
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES ON CUSTOMIZED ITEMS.
We do require that you first call us (505)771-2294 or firstname.lastname@example.org for an RA (return authorization) # so we can accurately track your return. Your refund does NOT include shipping charges.
